Kollavarsham 1202 - Handmade Poochakuru (Job's Tears) Bracelet Set

A limited collection of 13 unique handmade pieces, created as a material extension of Kollavarsham 1202 · മുന്നേ : ഇപ്പോൾ : ഇനി.

Surya,one of the women featured in Kollavarsham 1200 gathered Poochakuru (Coix lacryma-jobi, commonly known as Job’s Tears) from around her neighbourhood in Appanchira, Kaduthuruthy, and made each bracelet by hand. She also made the Wedelia paper, writing a different thought on each piece.

Every box is unique. Natural variations in the seeds, handmade paper, and handwriting are part of the work.

Each box contains

• Two handmade Poochakuru / Job’s Tears bracelets

• One unique handwritten fragment on handmade Wedelia paper

• One piece of cloth from Kollavarsham 1202

• A handwritten note from Surya

Edition: 13 only. Twelve travel to collectors; the thirteenth, Kaalam, remains with Jinson, the curator of this collective.
